Sami sighed as she entered the door, after her father. It had been a long day and all she wanted to do was sink back and go to sleep. Possibly eat.

Setting all of her school supplies down on the table, she plopped down on the nearest couch and sighed. She grabbed the fluffiest pillow and lied down, hoping to get a good nights sleep.

She didn't.

The Criss daughter looked through the dusty, old attic curiously. She had woken up from her 'maras, as she liked to call them, over an hour ago and seeing that not a soul was awake, decided to do something she kept putting off. Reading her mum's secret diary.

Sami had found this diary a few weeks ago while browsing for old photo albums. Only after cracking the code (It was 'Sami) did she realize it was her mum's. The entries varied from the day before she was born all the way to Lilo's fifth year.

The girl cautiously opened the book, after a while of just opening it and not reading it, the book had gotten used to her, as unusual as it sounded. She stroked the spine of the diary, her hand itching to turn to the next page and read to her hearts delight.

As a spur-of-the-moment, Sami turned to the next page and read the caption. 'September 1st, 1983.' Her deep brown eyes moved towards the first entry when- "POUND, POUND!"

She groaned before setting the diary down. Who, in all of Ireland, could possibly want to knock on our front door at-The girl checked her watch. 8:30 in the morning?

It turns out it wasn't some random person knocking on the Criss' front door. Instead, when Sami opened the door of the attic, she found her Aunt Caireann standing in front of her with a scowl on her face.

"What a'e ye doin' in the attic a' this time? Ye need ta get ready fer school, ye nit!" This was how her aunt showed affection. Or rather, lack thereof. She nodded and trotted back down the stairs, to her room on the first floor.

The adolescent witch had packed all of her supplies a few days ago. All she had to do was toss her books into the bag (which had an undetectable extension charm) and she was good to go. Sami did so and while exiting her room, almost tripped on her cat. "Oh, Kiwi," Kiwi purred in delight as her owner stroked her soft fur. "I almost forgot you!" She put down her bag to grab her precious cat, then picked her up again.

It was 9:15 when she finally got to the kitchen. Her father smiled cheerfully as his daughter arrived downstairs with all her luggage. "Want a bite?" her dad said, holding up two burnt pieces of toast. Sami shrugged, grabbing both.

For ten minutes the Criss' all sat in silence, eating breakfast, or in Aunt Caireann's case, glaring at everything that moved. After taking one last bite of her toast, Mr. Criss cleared his throat, getting up.

"Well, I suppose we best get going yes? That is, if you want a good compartment on the train." Nathaniel Criss winked at his daughter who gave a frown. She had been acting weird ever since she came back from Diagon Alley, the day before. Sami skidded to a hault when they reached their destination. She walked calmly towards her father and grabbed his arm. Both Side-Apparated to London.

Dear Headmaster Cooper,

I am writing to you to request that my daughter, Sami, is allowed to leave school grounds on the date below, so she can help build up her acting career. She is auditioning for a play that might take some time during the schoolyear (not during the schoolweek.)

I will be waiting with her to make sure she doesn't stray and comes back, if you decide to let her do this. If so, she shall floo to the cottage at around noon on the twenty-third of September and return at three on the dot, the same evening.

Thank you for your time, Headmaster. I await your owl.

Sincerely,

Nathaniel Criss, guardian of Sami

(OOC: Next summer, I guess,)
Terry watched the scenery flash by as her father drove her through the Muggle area before bringing the Porsche to a stop. Taking the envelope he offered her, the short teen walked up the drive to the door, knocking politely. She had the extra Quidditch Cup ticket, and she was going to drag Sami to what Terry was pretty was her first professional Quidditch game whether her best friend wanted to or not.

"Hi, is Sami home?"
