Looking For a Peaceful Place to Study Empty

Pierre traipsed through the edge of the un-Forbidden grounds, dressed in his favorite suit (he hadn't worn one for a while- it felt good going back to his roots) and his light brown messenger bag slung across his chest. His wand was tucked in his pocket, and he was wondering why he had to follow directions Terry had given him to her favorite quiet place to study.

Tripping over a root sticking out of the ground, he quickly regained his balance, not wanting to get his suit dirty. Looking up, he saw that it was approaching noon and ruffled in his bag for his sunglasses, sliding them on his face and continuing his quest to find that circle of rocks.

Glancing into the thick forest, Pierre shrugged and ducked in the Forbidden Forest, ducking through the trees before finally finding the clearing surrounded by rocks. sitting down in the middle, he took out his Herbology book and opened it, scanning the contents, only looking up when he heard a snapping twig.

"Who's there?"

Hester was wandering around close to the forest, near to where her and Lavender had been only yesterday. She was thinking. Very deeply.

She was only aware that she was near someone else when she heard someone say 'Who's there?'

Her head snapped around in shock and she realised that the speaker was the boy who had thought she was stupid in her first year. She wondered if he still remembered her. She decided to try her luck.

"Sorry," she said. "I didn't know anyone else was here."

She didn't mention anything about the tiny piece of past they shared and she hoped that he wouldn't remember.

Pierre rolled his eyes at the Gryffindor. "Why are you in here anyways? You don't seem to be studying." he asked, noting the lack of backpack. Deciding to fail Herbology and not study, the tall third year rummaged in his bag, looking for something to fiddle with...

Nothing.

Groaning lowly, Pierre searched his pockets for his wand.

It wasn't there.

"DANG IT!" he exclaimed, standing quickly and searching the grass frantically.

"I was thinking. Counts as studying, really... If I was thinking about school."

She frowned when he rolled his eyes. Perhaps he did remember after all. They had only met once and she had hoped to reconcile, but perhaps she was just being hopeful.

"What have you lost?" she asked, surprised at his sudden outburst. It must have been something important to get a reaction like that.

Pierre winced as his knee slipped on a wet patch of grass. He was gonna regret going on his hands and knees looking for his wand, but he could remove the stains. He couldn't get to Diagon until the summer.

"What were you thinking about?" he questioned, trying to play nice. His mother was trying (and unsuccessfully) trying to get him to associate with Muggleborns.

"My wand..." he muttered, taking off his sunglasses and squinting at the roots of a tree. Placing the McQueen originals back on, he continued his search, silently mourning his suit.

"Pretty much everything," said Hester, wondering why he was being nice to her. She decided just to go with it; if it didn't work out she wouldn't have lost anything and if it did work out then she would have gained at least an acquaintance. "School, people, homework..." She tailed off. She hoped that she had given enough information for him to be satisfied without going over the top.

"Do you need a hand looking?" she asked, dropping her bag by her feet and scanning the area with her eyes.
