Searching for Fluffy Redux!

If there was on mistake that you could make, that was to tell Raven about something Mythology related and not expect him to check it out. Naturally when he heard about the fact that Hagrid had released Fluffy into the Forbidden Forest, he had to go investigate the rumors. How many chances did one get to come across an actual Cerberus? Something from Mythology and that people or at least wizard kind acknowledged as real?

Excited about the prospect, Raven made sure he’d visited the kitchens and had a full bag. There was also the hunk of raw meat for the dog in case it turned out to be real. There was also his harmonica, which resided in his pocket. If the rumors about music soothing the savage beast had any truth to them, he’d find out.

Standing on the edge of the forest he peered into the depths as far as his sight would let him. Biting his lip, he wondered if he should do this alone or go back to at least get Gil. If not the dog then maybe his friends?

"I really hope you brought enough Pureé to sustain this trip Raven, I'm just saying," mutters Cass when she's in distance of her best friend.
She stands her legs apart and admires the forest from this limited view. The first year feels like an explorer admiring her surroundings before slapping them into explorer-submission. Cass takes the air in and grins at how cold it is. Soon enough it'll be cold enough to see her breathe out and everyone knows how fun that is!

"Good thing you didn't bring Gil with you, buddy. I don't think he can race with the big dogs," she said sweetly, not a hint of a smirk. She pats her shoulder where Bradley is, indicating him. Most of the time he's braver than her, but that isn't much of a thing to be shocked about.

Cass wonders if Raven's invited anyone else along to this excursion. It'd be nice to have someone else's ankles to panickingly grab hold and to beg for them to never leave her in the forest alone. Or something to that effect.

Skyler had been very curious about the forbidden forrest. Very curious indeed. After all, to someone like Skyler, anything named forbidden was a must see. It was like giving the best bait money could buy to a fish. The fish is gonna bite. You might as well have put up a gigantic flashing neon sign in the shape of an arrow directing her to the forrest. All the word forbidden did was pique her intrest and curiosity more. And tell her not to get caught of course.

So because of this newfound curiousity, and really because she was much too adventurous for her own good, Skyler found herself approaching the edge of the forrest quietly, and cautiously. She may be adventurous, but she wasn't an idiot. She wasn't about to go bouncing in making all kinds of noise. She paused at the edge of the forrest, for once questuoning herself on whether to actually cross the invisible boundrary or not. Pulling the hood of her forrest-green hoodie up and over her head, she thought maybe if she weren't alone in this she wouldn't feel so...hesitant?

Funny. Because no sooner had the thought struck her than her attention caught on the sight of a couple of familiar faces a little ways away from the spot she stood. It didn't seem like they had seen her yet, but what really got her attention was that the pair looked every bit as intent as she herself was to enter the forrest. Not able to help the grin that spread across her lips, Skyler made her decision quick and approached the two.

Sidling up next to them, she continued to grin, though she peered into the forrest for a few moments before bringing purple eyes to their faces. "Nice to see we all share the same love of adventure." She commented, smirk gracing her features.

Stifling a chuckle, Raven turned to his childhood friend and shook his head at the mention of the puree. At the mention of Gil, he bit his lip and nodded. “I don’t want him taking off in there.” He still had yet to train the pup. Seeing Bradley on Pia’s shoulder his grin grew and had to keep from saying anything.

Opening his mouth to nod at Pia and head for the forest the girl he’d met at the ice cream place was there and grinning at them. Laughing at the understatement, he nodded at her. Well with the three of them at least they would stand a partial chance in the forest right? And they hadn’t any idea what hidden talents Bradley had so they were maybe a bit luckier then others would be right?

Looking to the two girls he gestured at first the one then the other. “Have you two met each other yet? Pia this is Skyler, a fellow mischief-maker like us. Purple eyes, this here is Pia, the best ‘Puff you’ll ever find.”

Turning to look at the forest, he nearly bounced in place not able to contain his excitement. Looking back at the two girls he grinned. “You two ready to go looking for Fluffy?”

Arching a brow, Skyler only grew more amused by the boy. She could tell already from the few times she had run into him that he would be a constant source of amusement, if nothing else. Add to that the fact that he seemed to be friends with the Colonel, and she was sure she was in for some good fun. "Purple eyes huh?" She smirked as her eyes danced in amusement. "Very creative nickname there birdie." She teased lightly, waving away his introduction to the Colonel with a grin. "No worries. Me and Colonel Mustard here have had our own run in." turning her gaze to the girl, she noticed the frog and added on, "And of course Bradley too."

Nodding to Mustard, grin widening, Skyler followed Raven's gaze to the forrest, her own excitement growing. Yea. Having company was better than not. Especially considering it was these two. Nodding to his question, she glanced around, just to make sure. No use getting caught before even getting in the forrest was there? Happy when she found there wasn't anyone around, and especially no wandering professors out for a stroll, Skyler grinned like a Chestire. "Let's get this show on the road then shall we?"

And with that, she closed the distance between herself and the forrest and took her first steps inside.

A voice nearby made her grin and she turned around slowly, sure that that voice if not the same as one she had heard once upon a Leaky Cauldron, it was similar, and similar enough to make her seek out a girl called Skyler once again at Hogwarts.

"Skyler!" she waves, clicking her heels together and raising her hand in attention. Almost as if her hands were remembering the last time they had met, they curled around her own shoulders in a self hug. "So great to see you again!" she said, beaming toothily. It's exciting to see Skyler. She hasn't really made a friend yet, not really. And she is the one with the shiny eyes. If she was a magpie she would have coveted them already.

And what a marvellous introduction. "You're not too shabby either, Mr Drake," she says kindly. "And does Ms Riddle think she can run with the big frogs and help us on this noble quest?"

But Skyler had a mind or certainly feet of her own and they were going into the forest. Tapping Raven on the shoulder as she follows Skyler pretending she is in a zombie trance, she growls at him to follow too.
