A sheep to the wolves Empty
PostSubject: A sheep to the wolves   A sheep to the wolves EmptyWed Mar 16, 2011 2:37 pm

It had been a dare, one of the older students in his house thought that he needed to prove his worth as a Gryffindor and there was no way that Noah was going to refuse. He would show them that he was worthy of being a lion, that he was a perfect member of the house.

With the designated weapon hidden in his robes he crept along the corridors, keeping an eye out for his target. His palms were sweaty and his heart was racing, he was like a sheep being fed to a pack of wolves except he had to escape from this alive and there was really only one wolf.

He had been told where he would most likely find his target and soon enough he spotted him marching along the third floor corridor towards the boy’s bathroom. Noah quickly ducked behind a statue and waited for the opportune moment.

Campbell had been informed that one of the insolent boys had decided to take it upon themselves and clean the boys bathroom by spreading bubbles everywhere. He was not impressed to say the least and if he had any chance of finding the brat who was responsible then he would give them more than earful.

He strode along the third floor turning the corner toward the boys bathroom, his face was set in a grim expression as if a smile would cause it to fall off. Many thought that that would be the case, and if Robert ever was to smile it would either be at the expense of someone else’s pain or the world would have been tipped on its head and dementors would be running kids birthday parties.

He was shouted comments by several portraits as he passed, but he just glared at them and they would go scampering off to share a table with the dogs playing cards or hide someone else’s portrait on the other side of the castle.

He neared the bathroom and saw no sign of any miscreant brats, in a way he was glad that he didn’t have to deal with any of them yet, but it was always fun to see them quake in their boots and run back off to their dormitories.

Jude had been intending to have a nice wee in piece without any malfunctions going on. However, there was a- a Gryffindor, and Jude knows that they have to be dealt with accordingly.

Apparently the nice guy image he was trying to sport today wasn't going so well.

"Nice hair, Gryffinsnore," he said with a smirk, washing his hands.
A small comment like that that didn't really mean anything and it's response would help Jude gauge what he was like. But it wasn't really going to amount to anything; either way, he was still a Gryffindor.

Noah ignored the comment of the stupid Slytherin, being a Gryffindor he had heard plenty of the snide remarks and he had learnt that they are best dealt with by just acting as if they were never said. The Slytherin was only looking for a rise in him and he wasn’t going to give him what he wanted. He had to keep quiet as well for his plan to work; he didn’t need to be spotted before...

He watched as the grounds keeper was nearing the perfect position, he pulled out a couple of decoy detonators that had been handed to him by a fifth year; they were first in the onslaught of attacks on the grumpy grouch of a grounds keeper.

He let them lose and shoved a fist in his mouth to stifle the laughter after shooting the Slytherin a glare and a smug grin. With any luck it would the other boy that got into the trouble rather than him. This plan was working out better than planned...so far.

Robert caught sight of one boy, and by the green and silver emblazoned on his chest he knew that he was going to have to deal with the Slytherin appropriately. Although Robert despised all the students of Hogwarts if there was any that he could stand for several seconds it was the Slytherins, his old house. It also seemed that the report of the soap sodden bathroom was a lie and he had been sent on a wild goose chase, although pleased he didn’t have to deal with that he didn’t like having his time wasted.

“What are you doing?” he glared and questioned the young boy, he was suspicious of all students, if one of them tied their shoes in a strange way he wanted to know why. But before he could interrogate the boy further there were explosions and bangs going off all around him.

“YOU!” he grabbed the Slytherin by the front of his robes, and dragged the boys face very close to his own, “THINK YOU’RE CLEVER DO YOU?!”

From a distance, he could see an adult asking a question, probably in his direction. He dismissed it however. He'd only been washing his hands after having a wee. There was nothing wrong with that, and if there was, Jude would act like it was his rightful place to do so anyway.

As Jude exited the bathroom, a pair of iron hands grabbed hold of him, and before he had time to register what he was saying, he could smell this foul odour. Like eggs, or rotten feet.

"Sir you smell," he said, writhing away from his hands.
Sticking up his chin and getting a firm footing as if to say, yes, I am clever he tried to push the Groundskeeper's hands off him.

Noah looked at the pair, the grounds keeper had no idea of his hiding place and this was the perfect opportunity to kick in the second part of the plan while he was distracted with the Slytherin.

He couldn’t help but laugh slightly at the Slytherin’s comment about the man’s cleanliness, everyone knew that you didn’t wind up Campbell, it was a death sentence. But that was the reason that Noah was on this mission, to cause the man grief and earn his right as a Gryffindor.

“I hope these work,” he whispered as he let several fireworks off, the first one went fizzling and dropped only a short way away from where he was hiding as he set another batch off. Luckily they went off as planned lighting up the corridor in an array of sparks, colours, bangs and whooshes.
