Cass sits sadly next to the pile of books she's decided she likes the covers of, if you can sit sadly near a pile of books that is. It's been a really bad week because she hasn't gotten any spells done, and well, that's just brilliant. There are a lot of examinations coming up in this year-- her first one, too-- and she feels a little glum.

Everyone seems to be full steam ahead, and she seems to be the one sticking feathers in her hair and pretending to be an owl. It's fun, and she has fun, but she hasn't really done anything.

Sniffing indulgently at this thought, Cass has an idea.
Let's make a book tent, her mind says.
And so, obligingly, her hands do.

When she's finished with very angular and rudimentary 'tent', she takes furtive crawling steps inside it, and lets out a breath slowly, not quite sure when she's finished it. She stares at her mustard coloured sock laden ankles and wonders what to do next.

Marie is at it again. Well she is never not at it, if you get what I mean; Marie is upto some mischeif. She doesn't know what she is going to do, but all she knows that the library is the perfect hub for it.

Stepping into the book haven, she twists her head right and left, searching. In the distant, she sees something worthwhile, and walks towards it. Her lips curl into a smirk, as she reaches forward to the 'tent' ahead, and slides out a book from one of its feet.

And what happens next, you can only imagine.

For a moment, Cass has to remember her name and that's when you know you've had fun, or something to that effect. It is fun making a tent, a little world inside a world, where school doesn't come into it. No spells, about a thousand books, although she was lacking on a few weapons to battle with inside this little world she had created. Meh, that could be easily fixed. The broken spine of a book, a book end, hell she could even resort to papercuts. But that was slightly disgusting, so she might leave that one be.

As if the tent were wholly disagreeing on missing out the papercuts, a torrent of books slammed to the floor, leaving the other corner towers rocking slightly. She lets out a slight whelp and tries to shuffle backwards out of the chaos. When the dust finally settles and the last tower stays as upright as one resolute book tower slash tent corner should be, Cass spots a girl in front of her.

"Did you just do that?" she asks, trying to not sound too accusing.

Marie is watching in awe as the books are falling, and cannot help the smile that is lighting up on her face. And when the last of them fall, she sees a girl a little far away from the books.

She watches her closely, and with a smile answers her question, "I did yes, wasn't that amazing?"

Cass isn't exactly sure if that was amazing. It looks like a very mean thing to do. And now she is sad. Yes. She needed a place to sit and be glum and gloomy, but then again now after seeing the tent crumble she realises this was a pretty ostentatious way of doing that. A book tent in a library just welcomes other people.

"I don't know," she admits, with a lump in her throat.

Marie downcasts her eyes when she hears the sadness in the girl's voice. She hadn't meant to hurt her feelings, and Marie mentally kicked herself, if that was even possible.

"I'm s.. sorry," she whispered to the girl, loud enough for just her to hear, "I didn't mean to hurt you, I just... I wasn't thinking".

At the apology, Cass instantly brightens and widens her eyes with a small. "Hey, no blood no foul," she says, trying not to look at the slight graze on her knee, probably down to the falling books but she doesn't dwell on it.

"Don't you worry Ms Gryffindor, there's no need to worry you see. No need to worry," she repeated reassuringly, standing up to shake her hand.

Marie's face brightens up when she the Hufflepuff girl extends her hand. The Gryffindor girl takes it, deciding it is the best chance to introduce herself.

"My name is Marie Wilde," she says, "How about yours?"
