Going To Lunch

Alli didn't have the slightest idea who James was talking about and his wording worried her slightly. "You guess he's trustworthy?" she asked skeptically. "Do you really think it's the best idea to tell someone who you aren't sure is trustworthy?" She was just concerned that if he wasn't 100% sure then their secret was going to end up spreading around the school like wildfire.

James thought about it. If Andy did tell Bri than that wouldn't be so bad... right? She didn't seem to have any close friends that he knew of, but then again, he didn't know all that much about the girl's friendship cliques. He shrugged. James couldn't keep this from Andy anymore than he could forget to tie his shoes. It took James far too long to learn that one in the first place.

"He's trustworthy. Slight lapse of confidence, but no, he's trustworthy."

"Alright then," Alli said, still rather skeptically. If James thought he was trustworthy, then she was just going to have to trust his judgment.

She heard James' stomach growl and she laughed. "You go ahead and go eat," she said, much less annoyed than she had been when she said essentially the same thing earlier. She kissed him again gently and smiled at him.

James nodded and, returning her kiss, he stepped out from behind the statue that was doing a top notch job at hiding them for the last ten minutes or so.

He glanced back at the statue and to where Alli was still standing, before entering the Great Hall. He sighed at the idea of him going to the Gryffindor Table and her to the Slytherin one, an illusory world apart from one another, in more ways than one.
