Arachnid Movements

The connected stairwells weren't big, at least three feet in height and length. Looking around, Randall saw that no one was in sight before bending backwards until his hands touched the floor. Everything was upside down but what can he say? His current position was certainly one to warrant such effects.

A smirk formed on his face before Randall began to move, trying to crawl down the small stairwell that was not unlike the manner of a possessed Regan MacNair spider-crawling. But once he reached the end of the stairwell, the youth decided to try crawling back up, which was a bit harder than going back down. Flexibility requires some difficulty.

Hester wandered up to the Clock Tower, not entirely sure what she was looking for, but it seemed like an interesting place to go any way.

To her surprise, there was a first year performing some form of acrobatics, right in her way. It gave her quite a shock, but as soon as she had recovered, she glared at the boy.

"Do you think you're a spider?" she asked, sarcasm lacing her voice.

Randall had just reached the top of the stairs when he heard the sarcastic remark before he reverted back to his feet to find some older girl glaring at him. Since when it was illegal to try something out when one is alone and bored with nothing to do.

"So what if I was?" Randall drawled coldly. What goes around comes around and he certainly wasn't planning on being courteous. "I fail to see on what it has to do with you."

"Aside from blocking the stairs?" Hester said bitingly, finding the younger boy immediately annoying. "Well, excuse me," she said, with mocking politeness. "I have places to be going."

She had been spending too much time with Lavender, she thought to herself. She was getting... mean.

She stood still, one hand on her hip, waiting for the boy to move.

"Tck..." Randall clicked before moving out of the way, giving more than enough room for two people to transverse the stairs shoulder to shoulder.

Leaning against the balcony, Randall waited for the girl to move on and out wherever the hell she was heading. Hopefully, he wouldn't have to leave the clock tower since he certainly had no intentions of doing so. At least not for the moment.

Hester moved past, taking care not to brush the boy.

She had no idea who he was and she wasn't interested in finding out.

She carried on up the stairs until she reached the top, where she chose her usual spot and sat down, taking her book out of her bag. It wasn't one from her mother, but one she had chosen herself, but she ignored that fact and settled down to read anyway.

Once the bitchy wench was gone, the youth exhaled air that he didn't recall ever inhaling in the first place. Perhaps the buildup of literal steam at the redhead's behavior was a factor but now it was just a moot point to bother delving in.

Moving down and then away from the main stairwell, Randall stopped before pulling out a Glock 19 with a silencer. Even if older students knew more spells than he did, that didn't mean a complete advantage, especially when it came to other methods. Quickly yet silently retracing his steps, the youth tailed the redhead before taking aim and firing the pistol, executing his patented "Quadruple Tap" but aiming at her legs. Just as swiftly, he sped downstairs like a thief in the night.
