Late Afternoon sight-seeing Empty
PostSubject: Late Afternoon sight-seeing   Late Afternoon sight-seeing EmptySun Jan 16, 2011 7:21 am

Thomas smiled to himself as he lsay down on a grassy bank close to the Lake. It was evening, and the sun was only just still peeking through over the horizon, he was right with his idea, the colours the Lake went, as well as the sunset itself, were completely amazing. He had Muggle Pencil and Paper in his hands, just sketching things he randomly saw. They weren't good, but they kept his hands busy while his mind wandered. He wondered how lessons would go, he hadn't taken many subjects, so he hoped to increase them for next year. It didn't matter too much though, the First Year was just a year to pick subjects you might find interesting, Second Year was when you decided which ones to keep and whether to take more. He had to admit, the twilight-ish and almost dark hours were possibly the best, it set a different light over everything, making it look mysterious and that much more interesting. He yawned softly while sketching a rabbit he saw a few feet away, before he heard a sound and it suddenly scurried off. "Hello?" He asked, looking around to see if anyone was there.

She heard the slight sound of a animal running past, and it seemed like she wasn't the only one when someone called out. Marie's eyes were fixed upon the place she had seen the rabbit last, but moved them to reply to the newcomer.

"Hi," she started, "Seems like I'm not the only one in need of air this afternoon," she smiled. She talked to much, her mother had always said that to her, but really there was no harm in that, not as far as Marie thought anyway.

"Marie Wilde," she said, outstretching her hand for him to shake.

Thomas nodded to the girl that had appeared. "Fresh air is always good, especially after being inside for most of the day." He said, shaking her hand cheerfully. "Thomas Celare, First Year Slytherin, nice to meet you." He added. He wondered what house the girl was in. "How about you, what house are you in?" He asked, deciding to sate his curiosity.

"Gryffindor," she replied, before returning her gaze towards the lake once more. "Celare, huh? Are you related to the Care of Magical Creatures Professor?"

It was none of her business, but curiosity always got the better of her, after all curiosity killed the cat, right? Waiting for him to answer, Marie closed her eyes, breathing in the cool air slowly.

Thomas blinked. Gryffindor, good house was that, then again, all of them were really. He listened to her question before nodding, he supposed it didn't really matter if people found out really, he didn't know why he thought it did. "Yep, she's my mum." He said grinning. He looked around, and watched as a fox travelled in the same path as the rabbit earlier. It must of caught the rabbit's scent. He's hardly do anything to stop it though, that was nature after all. He could be wrong anyways, it could just be going that way coincidently.

Opening her eyes, she glanced back at the Slytherin and smiled, "So how does it feel like? Going to the same school your mother teaches at".

Marie rubbed her feet, before seating herself onto the grass. "Why don't you sit down?" she offered, she needed a book to read, suddenly she had a urge, but knew far more important was making friends.
