A banner of green and silver hung overhead the long Slytherin Table. Students from the house of Snake gather there to chat amongst friends and housemates.

Alyssa Lastwick walked over to join the Slytherin table. She made a mental note to write her parents. After spotting her cousin, Alyssa sat down in an empty area. She heard whispered hushes and snickering about the other first years, and eye-rolling when a Hufflepuff or Gryffindor was sorted. Honestly? Were people that immature? Maybe she wasn't looking forward to this as much as she thought. As soon as Alyssa had found out the password, she left the Great Hall and went to explore the castle.
